Expect Nothing

I’m an ordinary man, so ordinary to an extend that I thought I’ve no story to tell. And I never like to share much about myself because I felt my story is too ordinary. I was afraid to write because I thought my grammar and vocabulary is poor. Even more pathetic, I refused to learn, to listen, to move forward just because I’m too afraid to fail.

These famous failures’ stories have really given me a lot of inspirations…

Beethovenhis music teacher once said of him “as a composer, he is hopeless”

Thomas Edisonhis teacher told him he was too stupid to learn anything. And he failed more than 9,000 experiments.

Michael Jordon - he was cut out from high school basketball team because of his “lack of skill”.

Steven Spielberghe dropped out of junior high school and was placed in a learning-disabled class. He only lasted a month and then dropped out of school forever.

Marilyn Monroeshe was dropped out by 20th Century-Fox because her producer thought she was unattractive and cannot act.

Iassc Newtonhe did so poorly in grade school and was considered “unpromising.”

Walter Disneyhe was fired because an editor think he was lacked of imagination and had no original ideas.

Along these years, I learned that my fear of failure is not because I’ve no confident in me; it is because I’ve too much expectation on what’s going to happen next.

Now, I’m confident not because I know how to do it; I have no fear not because suddenly I became brave; I’m moving forward not because I found the path; and I’m writing this article not because I improved my grammar and vocabulary; it is just because I’ve eliminated expectations.

Like what my best friend said, life is just like a poker game. You can have a pair of ACE on your hand, but it doesn’t determine that you’re going to win. And you might think your cards sucks, and yet, it doesn’t determine that you are going to lose. So, why border worrying about your cards or the next card you are going to draw, winning and losing is just part of life.

Should I try to find an update for my browser or something? Thank you for the help I hope! Tana x :)
